Priti Mugatwala is the Environmental Laboratory Supervisor at the San José–Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility, where she leads a team of Microbiologists supporting the City of San José’s environmental monitoring and regulatory compliance programs. She holds a Master of Science in Microbiology and has over 17 years of laboratory experience, including more than 14 years specializing in whole effluent toxicity (WET) testing and microbiological analysis.
Priti played a key role in conducting and validating the WET method on Fathead Minnow during the facility’s transition from Ceriodaphnia dubia, implemented as part of the NPDES permit renewal process. Her work continues to advance data quality and environmental protection through innovative laboratory practices.
