RFMCO started in 1956 with a focus on selling Cleaver-Brooks industrial boilers. Within a few years, we began servicing those boilers. Around the same time, we began selling and servicing pumps because water pumps are attached to boilers. We basically grew our sales and service business from 1956 to present by increasing customers within California and Nevada. Recently, we have begun expanding our offerings to electric heat pumps, cooling towers, and emissions reductions auxiliary equipment. Robert Frank MacDonald sold the company to his sons Jim MacDonald and Mike MacDonald. As Mike MacDonald retired and Jim MacDonald gets closer to retirement, the brothers decided to sell the company to the employees. In 2024, RFCMO became an employee-owned company. We are currently planning for our 70th Anniversary.
