Agustin Lopez – Senior Civil Engineer – Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer)
With over 26 years of service at SacSewer, Agustin currently leads the Capacity Management Group within Engineering Business Planning. In this role, he oversees strategic planning efforts to ensure the sewer system can reliably meet both current and future capacity demands.

Previously, Agustin spent more than two decades in the Design Group, where he managed a wide spectrum of projects—from small repairs to major capital improvement projects.

He also serves as the Chair of the California Alliance for Sewer System Excellence (CASSE), where he facilitates monthly collaboration among member sewer agencies across the state. CASSE was created with a vision to reduce sewage spills, protect surface waters, help further develop the workforce, and drive performance improvements and cost reductions by implementing agreed-upon best practices at all locations.
